Swimming!

In 37 degree heat, it's hard to not go for a swim. That's why we taught Dusty to!

Lemme out, lemme out!

I bet he secretly loves it, though...

 Sorta, maybe, not really?

And then there's always the aftermath of a crazy wet dog...

 ...and a cute wet dog.

Jock Portrait

I thought I might make an attempt of drawing a portrait of Jock, and it turned out pretty good if I may say so myself.

The picture was taken with my webcam so it isn't too high quality, but you get the idea of what it looks like.
This is the reference picture I used.

I know there's always room for improvement, so I don't mind if anyone wants to give me some drawing tips.

Destruction

Dusty has been chewing up all his kennels (he's been through three already) and lately we thought he couldn't defeat this one. We were wrong.

Luckily he didn't get stuck. He could easily get in and out, which isn't really great for night time...

Jock is moulting at the moment. This is the fur we got from around his butt.

Yin and Yang.

Safe Keeping

You can never be too safe with where you keep your toys

Can you Jock?

Jock in the Mist

This morning the fog was low, so thought I would try out one of the effects on my camera. It darkens and lightens the area around, so I thought if I lightened it the background would be almost white. It worked pretty well. I had to do a little bit of editing but it's still pretty cool.

Well Done All Blacks!

The All Blacks won! The Rugby World Cup 2011 was an interesting competition, but in the end everyone knew the All Blacks were the best. Ok, well our family did anyway...

See the resemblance? LOL

Morning Romp

All three dogs love to chase after a ball. If you kick a ball, one will attack,

 one will bark,

and one will bite...

But Jock and Lucy would still have to be the ones who love those balls most...

...so far.

Changing

 First Day

This Morning

He's really started to show his true colours now. But we're still wondering whether he'll end up being his face colour or his leg colour. Any thoughts?

Dessert for Puppies

 He found the bug.

 He killed the bug.

 And then... ate the bug.

Mad Moment

Dusty went absolutely bonkers this afternoon.

He would just run around in circles, and I'm not sure what he was trying to achieve. Dig to China maybe?

I'm sorry Dusty, but that isn't going to work...

Nor is trying to ride there Dusty. Seriously.

(We later found out we forgot to feed him. Ooops ;)

Kiba

Some family came today. And they brought their puppy, Kiba!

He's an 18 month old bitzer (we think he's pointer, staffy, kelpie and cattle dog) and he is really energetic. When he got here, he went straight to the goat pen...

...and got in!

He was nearly flying, he was so fast! It was hard to get a decent shot of it. The goats were fine, though. After that we put them in the bottom pen so he couldn't get in. He just wouldn't leave them alone! He would run up and down the fence, trying to get back in and have some more fun!

Then he got bored and posed a little bit.

Then we played a bit of fetch with him. He was like a rocket going to get the stick, but Jock was telling him off most of the time saying who was boss.

His ears never seemed to stay right. We'd fix them up, then right after that they would flop back over again. It was like they were destined to be that way.

Lucy liked him so much she was trying to hump him.

After all of that he was thirsty.

Kiba really was great fun to have over.
